PTI hints at big movement, long march if talks fail

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has indicated that they will launch a big moment and a long march if talks with the government fail. The central leader of PTIFawadChaudhary stated in his recent tweet that, PTI wanted the talks to be successful but had formulated a strategy in case of failure.

He said Tehreek-e-Insaf does not allow anyone to trash the constitution and make people as vermin. He added that people should prepare for a big movement if talks fall apart. The PTI leader further said the movement will begin on Monday (tomorrow) with rallies in Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar. It culminates in a historic long march.

It should be noted that two meetings were held between government representatives and Tehreek-e-Insaaf for negotiations. Earlier, PTI Chairman Imran Khan, speaking at a mass rally via video link, said the country was on the verge of destruction and that only elected officials should be in charge of the issue. The Provisional caretaker Government had lost its legal authority. He said Supreme Court judges should fight to protect the Constitution rather than deal with internal disputes. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan addresses workers via video link and said that he was distressed by the opening of courts at midnight. “I have never criticized the courts, except for the fact that they are open at night. I have always respected the decisions of the courts because a country without justice cannot become independent.” He continued: “You(the PDM)said that dissolve the Punjab and Pakhtunkhwa assemblies if you wanted elections, but now that we have dissolved the assemblies, they are making excuses. The PTI chief said, “We are ready to accept single-day elections throughout the country if the government agrees on conducting elections by dissolving the National Assembly till May 14th Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said his party will start negotiations with the government only if the ruling coalition agrees to dissolve assembly immediately and hold elections.
