No relief for Petrol consumers, Rs5 per liter cut in diesel

The Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced that the price of Petrol will remain at Rs 282 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel will be reduced by Rs 5 per liter to Rs 288 per liter. The federal government on Sunday revised prices for petroleum products across the country. Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said the price of kerosene and diesel he said was reduced by 10 rupees per liter. He said the current price will remain until May 15th. Note that Ogra had proposed to reduce the price of petrol by 5-7 rupees per liter and the price of diesel by 8 rupees per liter, but the government still didn’t give any relief to petrol consumers. Ogura also suggested, among other proposals, that petroleum product prices could be maintained to balance the budget deficit.
